Ethical Consumption: The Consumer’s Purchasing Power

Today, as consumers, we have the option to buy ethically. With the understanding that the production of many food products involve the exploitation of workers, animals, and the environment, many have made it their responsibility to buy ethically produced goods.

Before the holiday of Shavuot it behooves us to learn more about how our produce gets from the ground to our plates. On April 23rd from 7:30-9pm at B’nai David-Judea, come hear from Uri L’Tzedek’s Ari Hart about restaurant workers and Netiyah’s Devorah Brous about food production.
