Ashoka-the global association of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs—men and women with system changing solutions for the world’s most urgent social problems. Since 1981, has elected over 2,000 leading social entrepreneurs as Ashoka Fellows, providing them with living stipends, professional support, and access to a global network of peers in more than 60 countries. With our global community, develops models for collaboration and design infrastructure needed to advance the field of social entrepreneurship and the citizen sector.

FINCA (Foundation for International Community Assistance)-provides financial services to the world's lowest-income entrepreneurs so they can create jobs, build assets and improve their standard of living. Targets the poorest of the working poor: those who have the least access to services such as loans, savings programs, and insurance. Our clients include women, who make up 70 percent of the world's poor; individuals unable to find work in the formal sector; families displaced by war and internal conflict; the rural poor; and those affected by chronic poverty. With more than 20 years' experience and over 725,000 clients on four continents, FINCA offers a proven solution to poverty.


BRAC (Bangladesh Rehabilitation Assistance Committee)-a development organisation dedicated to alleviating poverty by empowering the poor to bring about change in their own lives. Founded in Bangladesh in 1972 and over the course of our evolution, established ourselves as a pioneer in recognising and tackling the many different realities of poverty. Priorities include focusing on women; organizing the poor; unleashing human potential; and taking a comprehensive approach to poverty.

Oxfam International - Oxfam International is a confederation of 14 like-minded organizations working together and with partners and allies around the world to bring about lasting change.  We work directly with communities and we seek to influence the powerful to ensure that poor people can improve their lives and livelihoods and have a say in decisions that affect them.

 

FEWS NET - The Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET) is a USAID-funded activity that collaborates with international, regional and national partners to provide timely and rigorous early warning and vulnerability information on emerging and evolving food security issues. FEWS NET professionals in the Africa, Central America, Haiti, Afghanistan and the United States monitor and analyze relevant data and information in terms of its impacts on livelihoods and markets to identify potential threats to food security.

Social Edge - Social Edge is the global online community where social entrepreneurs and other practitioners of the social benefit sector connect to network, learn, inspire and share resources.

Fighting Poverty with Faith: Good Job, Green Jobs - Join Uri L’Tzedek and more than 30 faith-based organizations for the Fighting Poverty with Faith: Good Jobs, Green Jobs week of action this October 14-21. We hope you will join us in this effort! Call Congress on October 21st to urge your elected officials to implement the ideals of the Fighting Poverty with Faith initiative! Remember, it's not too late to add an event or find one in your area to jumpstart the conversation on creating green pathways out of poverty, and pursue an anti-poverty, pro-environment agenda this year.

Taglit-Birthright Israel: Harvest to Harvest - Sukkot, the Jewish harvest holiday, is a time during which we reap the benefits of the seeds we’ve sown.  What better way to celebrate this season than by sharing these benefits with those less fortunate?  By volunteering some of your time in soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and food banks, you can help make the world a little more filling for everyone.

Water.org - is challenging the traditional approach to assisting people in developing countries. Our goals are to draw attention to the world’s number one health problem, unsafe and inadequate water supplies, and to raise funds to help fight this immense problem - one community at a time.

H2O Africa - is creating widespread public awareness of the water crisis in Africa and gathering support for clean water programs in critical areas, including communities along the Running the Sahara route.

The Water Project - is a non-profit organization that's bringing relief to communities around the world who suffer needlessly from a lack of access to clean water.

Kiva - Make Microcredit loans all over the world.

Acceder - Make interest-free loans to Jews around the world.
