Since 1981, has elected over 2,000 leading social entrepreneurs as Ashoka Fellows, providing them with living stipends, professional support, and access to a global network of peers in more than 60 countries. With our global community, develops models for collaboration and design infrastructure needed to advance the field of social entrepreneurship and the citizen sector.
FINCA (Foundation for International Community Assistance)-provides financial services to the world's lowest-income entrepreneurs so they can create jobs, build assets and improve their standard of living. Targets the poorest of the working poor: those who have the least access to services such as loans, savings programs, and insurance. Our clients include women, who make up 70 percent of the world's poor; individuals unable to find work in the formal sector; families displaced by war and internal conflict; the rural poor; and those affected by chronic poverty. With more than 20 years' experience and over 725,000 clients on four continents, FINCA offers a proven solution to poverty.
BRAC (Bangladesh Rehabilitation Assistance Committee)-a development organisation dedicated to alleviating poverty by empowering the poor to bring about change in their own lives. Founded in Bangladesh in 1972 and over the course of our evolution, established ourselves as a pioneer in recognising and tackling the many different realities of poverty. Priorities include focusing on women; organizing the poor; unleashing human potential; and taking a comprehensive approach to poverty.
Oxfam International - Oxfam International is a confederation of 14 like-minded organizations working together and with partners and allies around the world to bring about lasting change. We work directly with communities and we seek to influence the powerful to ensure that poor people can improve their lives and livelihoods and have a say in decisions that affect them.
FEWS NET - The Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET) is a USAID-funded activity that collaborates with international, regional and national partners to provide timely and rigorous early warning and vulnerability information on emerging and evolving food security issues. FEWS NET professionals in the Africa, Central America, Haiti, Afghanistan and the United States monitor and analyze relevant data and information in terms of its impacts on livelihoods and markets to identify potential threats to food security.

Fighting Poverty with Faith: Good Job, Green Jobs - Join Uri L’Tzedek and more than 30 faith-based organizations for the Fighting Poverty with Faith: Good Jobs, Green Jobs week of action this October 14-21.
