A few years ago, Nolo started a lawyer referral program to help ordinary middle class people find lawyers who wouldn't charge and arm and a leg and really had the client's best interest at heart.

We the People Media is a not-for-profit based in Chicago that monitors issues regarding public housing and tenants' rights.
Affordable Housing Online provides information on Section 8, or the Housing Choice Voucher Program, a Federal housing program which provides housing assistance to low-income renters and homeowners. This assistance comes in the form of rental subsidies, limiting the monthly rent payment of the assistance recipient.
