Native American Allyship & Humanitarian Relief

Uri L’Tzedek is embarking on the continued expansion of our Native American relationships through fostering civic engagement. In our project, we plan on increasing voter education and registration in our Native communities in Maricopa County and Native reservations. We will be creating monthly gatherings to educate native community members on their voter rights, the electoral process, and the importance of their vote. They will be thoroughly guided each month on how our political system works. We will be going to several Native communities to create a discourse that will guide their political engagement process for the upcoming election.

Our work with the Hopi and Navajo reservations focuses on providing essential humanitarian care to individuals and families in need. We understand the importance of addressing immediate needs such as access to food, clean water, and healthcare, and strive to provide support that meets these critical requirements. Through partnerships with local organizations and community leaders, we coordinate efforts to deliver aid directly to those who need it most, ensuring that no one is left behind.

In addition to humanitarian care, Uri L’Tzedek is deeply invested in empowering community members through civic engagement education. We believe that education is a powerful tool for social change and work tirelessly to provide individuals with the knowledge and resources they need to advocate for their rights and effect meaningful change in their communities. Through workshops, seminars, and outreach programs, we equip community members with the skills and confidence to engage in civic life, participate in decision-making processes, and amplify their voices on issues that affect their lives.

Our commitment to the Hopi and Navajo reservations goes beyond providing temporary relief; it is rooted in a long-term vision of building resilient and empowered communities. By investing in humanitarian care and civic engagement education, we aim to create sustainable solutions to the systemic challenges faced by indigenous populations, fostering a future where all individuals have the opportunity to thrive and live with dignity.

Join us in our mission to create a more just and equitable society, where the rights and voices of indigenous communities are respected and upheld. Together, we can make a meaningful difference and build a brighter future for all.
