Kavod HaBriyot Mobile Shower Project

Clean Showers with Dignity

Our Kavod HaBriyot Shower Project brings showers to asylum seekers and members of the homeless community. Our mobile unit includes two private shower stalls, private bathrooms, sinks, mirrors, and changing areas to ensure dignity and comfort.

Support for the Vulnerable

While offering showers, we also distribute aid kits filled with hygiene essentials to help vulnerable populations as they continue on their journey toward safety and stability.

Learning from Our Ancestors

We learn the value of washing others and hospitality (hachnasat orchim) from Avraham who provides water to strangers to wash their feet (Genesis 18:4).

Torah Teachings That Inspire This Project

For the sake of one’s Maker: to honor one’s maker, as it is written (Gen. 9:6) “For people were made in the image of G-d.” In addition, when others see a clean person they will say “Blessed Be the Lord who created this in G-d’s world.

For all people, created in the image of G-d, to be clean is to be blessed! Let’s spread blessings together! (Babylonian Talmud, Shabbat 50a)

“Do not despise any person and do not discriminate against anything, for there is no person that has not his hour, and there is no thing that has not its place.” – Pirkei Avot 4:3
